Welcome to the MotoXcross
Museum web site. January 2001 marks the launch of what we believe will be a useful site
for members of the Vintage MX community. We hope you check back regularly to check on our
new additions as we progress on building what we think will be one of the premier
reference sites for Vintage MX motorcycle information. This site is expected to be a living community, reflecting the interests of the
Vintage MX community. We encourage you to explore the site and send us feedback, or
submissions. You see, your welcome to share your information with others via this site.
The initial web site includes a swap meet section.
This section allows for not only the sale/trade and searching for parts, but
transportation assistance requests and technical information searches.
Don't forget to check out the "Before"
pictures of our current projects. Some of these will be done in time to race this summer
and some, well... more than one of you has a project that just can't seem to get
completed. The web site will be updated regularly to show the work done to date, the fun
and the anguish we have uncovered. Plans are to write a couple of articles to help pass on
what we learnt.
February should mark the introduction of Featured
Reader's Bike. Submissions are welcome. Click on "Contact Us" to find out how to
submit.
Future additions are planned to support a "How
to" technical forum for those undocumented tricks or just plan how do I questions.
Plans are being made to have the forums reviewed and a digest section posted to help find
quick answers to questions already asked.
And please check out the History section. The
Motocross Museum is working on publishing a reference detailing the specifications and
pictures of all the MX motorcycles from 1970 to 1985.
And finally all the best wishes for the new year.
May it bring you the part you are missing and plenty of time to ride.
